The Company's History
HELI AIR SERVICES has been established in 1990 as a governmental company.
Nowadays 100 % of the Company shares are in private shareholders.
Our market and expertise always have been focused on the specialized aviation services.
HELI AIR is certified to carry out the following aviation services:
- Air transportation of passengers, cargo and mail
- Providing of aviation services for humanitarian and peacekeeping missions, which activity is adopted mainly to the specific services for missions of United Nations organizations
- Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
- Transportation of dangerous goods
Aerial Works
- Transportation of external loads
- Fire fighting
- Search and Rescue (SAR) services
- Aerial inspection and surveillance
The company owns the following aircrafts:
- L-410 UVP - 6 aircrafts
- Mi-8 MTV- 6 helicopters
The staff of HELI AIR SERVICES by the beginning of 2009 is 140 persons with following positions:
- 11 Captains of helicopter MI-8/MI-8 MTV
- 8 Co-pilots of helicopter MI-8/MI-8 MTV
- 11 Flight engineers of helicopter MI-8/MI-8 MTV
- 12 Captains of airplanes L-410 UVP-E/E20-12
- 15 Co-pilots of airplanes L-410 UVP-E/E20-12
- Ground engineers and technicians for helicopters MI-8/ MI-8 MTV
- Ground engineers and technicians for airplanes L-410 UVP-E/E20-12
- 25 Administrative staff
HELI AIR is certified as an aviation operator by the Bulgarian Civil Aviation Administration (BCAA) in accordance with national / respectively the European / legislation and hold the following certificates:
- Air Carrier License No. BG24407-10
- Air Operator Certificate № BG04 for aircraft type L-410 UVP-E,
- Air Operator Certificate № BG AW 227 for helicopters type Mi-8
